AMERICAN AIRLINES THROWS SHADE AT HOMOPHOBIC TWITTER CRITIC

It seems as though not everybody is on board with American Airlines’ choice to support the LGBT community. The company has temporarily changed its logo on its social media accounts in order to incorporate a rainbow flag in support of Pride Month in the US.

On Tuesday, Twitter user Nathan Lorick tweeted "Flying on @AmericanAir without a delay is highly unlikely…Always delayed.. One reason I have not flown with them nearly as much this year!" To which the company replied, "@NathanLorick We're sorry for the delay, Nathan. We see that you are on your way and we'll have you home shortly."

Clearly unsatisfied with the response, Lorick tweeted back, "@AmericanAir what's the deal with the rainbow colored image?"

"@NathanLorick June is pride month across the globe and we are proud to support the LGBT community and its allies,” the company politely responded.

Still hoping to get the last work, Norick tweeted, "@AmericanAir Seems like a poor choice from a company that certainly has many customers who do not agree with that lifestyle! #disappointed."

American Airlines responded, "@NathanLorick We're sorry for your disappointment," getting the last word instead.

Twitter followers of American Airlines quickly began commending the company for standing up for LGBT rights.
