The Outport Magazine is Newfoundland and Labrador's LGBT Lifestyle magazine, it is the first of its kind in the province and the only LGBT publication in print in Atlantic Canada.



The Outport aims to reflect and inform the LGBT community of St. John's in particular, but also Newfoundland and Labrador in general. It is an inclusive, often lighthearted look and what makes our community, and our home, so great.

The magazine was founded in 2013 by Josh Eddy and Ryan Crocker. Josh has an International Bachelor of Business Administration and Ryan has worked with publications across canada. Josh saw an opportunity when he saw similar publications in other cities around the world and he felt that the LGBT community in NL deserved such an outlet and from that, The Outport Magazine was born.
